Trade:

In 2023 Ireland exported approximately 192 tonnes of Pigmeat valued at €1.26 m.

In 2022 Ireland exported approximately 236 tonnes of Pigmeat valued at €1.67 m.

In 2021 Ireland exported approximately 72 tonnes of Pigmeat valued at €1.05 m.

In 2020 Ireland exported approximately 65 tonnes of Pigmeat valued at €0.85 m.

In 2019 Ireland exported approximately 62 tonnes of Pigmeat valued at €0.74 m.

In 2018 Ireland exported approximately 48 tonnes of Pigmeat valued at €0.68 m.

Certification Arrangements: All products eligible for intra-community Trade may be exported to Switzerland.

Exporter T&C’s:

• Exports can take place from all establishments approved by DAFM to handle beef based on a commercial document, the same as for exports to EU countries.
• To avail of a preferential tariff rate for High Quality Beef, the consignment must be accompanied by a certificate attesting to the fact that the beef meets specific criteria to be classed as High-Quality Beef.
