Trading conditions: Ireland does not have a bilateral agreement with Mauritius for the export of beef. However, it appears that it may be possible to export on a general meat certificate,having first obtained the necessary import permit. Traders should check conditions of import with their importer.

In 2021 Ireland exported approximately 25 tonnes of Pigmeat valued at €0.31 m.
PRODUCTS EXPORTED: Frozen Pigmeat
CERTIFICATION ARRANGEMENTS: Ireland does not have a bilaterally agreed certificate for the export of pigmeat to Mauritius. That said Mauritius, based on trade stats reporting, seems to be one of the countries that accept exports of pigmeat from Ireland on the basis of the general export health certificate. Exporters should check import requirements and licences.
EXPORTER T&C’S: The meat must satisfy the conditions set out in the general export health certificate and must be handled in DAFM-approved premises from slaughter through to boning, packing, storage and consignment
