If you are considering exporting livestock/bloodstock (horses) to this market, you must fulfil certain animal health requirements that may include isolation, testing, vaccination and/or other specific sanitary conditions.
You should make contact and agree arrangements with your local Regional Veterinary Office before you begin any preparations for export.
Requirements:
The animals must be properly identified, undergo a veterinary inspection, and be fit to travel. The animals must also fulfil the criteria set out in the agreed health certificates for exporting fattening cattle, female breeding cattle and male breeding cattle, and cattle for slaughter to Turkey. These include specific rules on the herds of origin, history of the animals, specific tests and health status.
